Scope of Services

From the time of our inception, ensuring access to quality affordable housing has been a primary objective of NWLFA. With a national shortage of affordable housing, our mission of supporting the development of both mulit-family and single family housing remains at the forefront of our work. NWLFA deploys various incentive, loan and grant programs to help ensure all citizens have access to quality affordable housing. A lack of quality affordable workforce housing is a major impediment to successful community and economic development.

Tax-Exempt & Taxable Bonds

NWLFA utilizes Payment-In-Lieu of Tax ("PILOT") agreements to provide qualified projects with a custom tailored tax abatement to help fill a funding gap or incentivize a qualifying project.

NWLFA is authorized to issue tax-exempt and taxable bonds to help finance qualified economic development projects. Bonds can be issued in conjunction with a PILOT or an economic development district to provide numerous financing structures.
